Safari Lodge Shuttle was started in 2003 by entrepreneur Rogerio Sequeira, a Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years experience in the corporate world. Roger left the comfort and security of the corporate world to follow his passion - to be involved in a business that caters to the traveller; that helps to make a traveller’s dreams come true; that provides the traveller a professional, yet personalised, travel experience no matter what the distance!

Who are we?

Safari Lodge Shuttle is a small company operated by Roger and Liese, a husband and wife team. We are two passionate South Africans dedicated to making your holiday in South Africa unforgettable.

Roger Sequeira is a corporate refugee that decided to enter the tourism market in 2003. His previous corporate experience has seen him complete his articles at KPMG in Johannesburg and qualify as a chartered accountant in 1994. He also worked for KPMG in Lisbon for a very short time and later at KPMG Mozambique as well. He resingned from KPMG in 1998, leaving as an audit manager and joined Castrol South Africa (Pty) Ltd in November of the same year where he took up a position as Corporate Accountant.

In 2001 Castrol was taken over worldwide by BP Limited and he moved across to the retail side of BP, taking up a position as a Financial Analyst. By 2003 however his priorities in life had changed and he decided to throw in the towel and start his own tourism company, specialising in transfers from Johannesburg to Game Lodges.

And so Safari Lodge Shuttle was born. On the back of one converted van and many emails to game lodge operators.

After two years he met Liese, a tourist guide with an unrivalled passion for South Africa and its people and the widest smile and brightest eyes he had ever seen. They were meant to be and were married in the Magaliesberg countryside on the banks of two small streams flowing into each other during the summer of 2007.

Roger is now a qualified tourist guide and his growing passion for South Africa is transmitted to his clients during the tours and transfers he undertakes with them.

He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Afrikaans.

Liese Mossner-Sequeira is a tourist guide with over 15 years experience in the tourism industry. Born in Welkom, she has also expereienced the corporate world working for Anglo American's offices in the town as well as Beagles, a well known eatery. Besides speding time aroudn the hoefie in Welkom in the good old days Liese was into her sport and represented her province in Athletics and even ran a couple of races against Zola Budd in her day!

Her family lived and worked in many places around South Africa and the travelling bug must have bitten then and infected her spirit to learn and travel more within our country.

Her stint at Anglo American was followed by work experiences in Port Elizabeth as the manager of Pizza Hut as well as stints in Greece as an au pair and at a kibbutz in Israel. She has fond memories of ducking rockets near the Gaza strip!

She came to Johannesburg in 1994 and qualified as a guide specialising in the Kruger and Namibia. She has worked for many different operators and still freelances for a few companies during the offpeak season.

Her passion for South Africa has no bounds and every spare moment is dedicated to reading about and experiencing more of the treasures our beautiful country and its people have to offer.

Liese is also an artist lending her talents to making greeting and Christmas cards, beading, painting and of course cooking and baking. Her oxtail with lentils is a firm favourite at home.

She is fluent in English, German and Afrikaans.
